Comment
Founded by the Romans under the name of Lucus Augusti, the city of Lugo boasts of its millenary history and its rich heritage. It highlights the Roman Wall, the only Roman fortification that retains its entire perimeter. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2000. The Cathedral of Lugo, whose construction began in 1129, has the papal privilege of permanent exhibition of the Blessed Sacrament. This is reflected in the coat of arms of the city and has also been transferred to the coat of arms of Galicia.Interesting fact
