Comment

Real Colegiata de San Isidoro: It is considered one of the jewels of Romanesque in Spain. The architectural ensemble was built in the city of León during the 11th and 12th centuries, later adding some Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque elements. It owes its name to San Isidoro de Sevilla, whose remains were moved to the city in 1063. At the foot of the church is the Royal Pantheon, known as the "Sistine Chapel" of Romanesque, for its exceptional mural paintings.

Interesting fact

The interesting fact about this coin is that it features an image of the Spanish coat of arms on one side and an image of a lion on the other, which is where the name "León" comes from.
