Comment

The Stone Bridge is one of the four bridges that cross the Ebro River as it passes through Logroño. It is also known as "Puente de San Juan de Ortega", in honor of the saint whom some historians considered the builder of the first stone bridge. The current bridge was designed by the engineer Fermín Manso de Zúñiga and inaugurated in 1884, after the collapse of the old one. It consists of 7 arches and has a length of 198 meters. The Stone Bridge is one of the symbols of Logroño. It appears on his shield, next to the three fleurs de lis that Carlos V granted to the city for its resistance to the siege of the French in 1521.
