Municipal Palace: Baroque administrative building built in the eighteenth century, is now the headquarters of the Town Hall of Alicante, also called Municipal Palace. It is a rectangular building, with a symmetrical main façade, composed of a central body of three floors flanked by two towers of higher height at the ends, through which communication is carried out by means of passages between the Town Hall squares and of the Holy Face, where it is located. At the foot of the main staircase is the so-called "cota cero", a reference point that is used to measure the altitude above sea level of any point in Spain.Interesting fact
