The 2 YOG official mascots “Lyo” and “Merly”, in colour, flank the YOG symbol and the Olympic rings, which are also in colour. On the lower circumference of the coin is a crescent-shaped hologram featuring repeated patterns of the Singapore lion head. The words “YOUTH OLYMPIC GAMES” crown the top of the coin while the words “SINGAPORE 2010” and the denomination “$5” are positioned above the hologram feature.
