At the centre of the coin's reverse is a group of Singaporeans rejoicing at the Padang, the venue of this year’s National Day celebrations. Four of them have been shaded in different colours to depict the 4 main ethnic races in Singapore. Flanking the group of Singaporeans on the left is the logo for this year’s National Day theme, symbolising aspiration and hope, while the right is an artistic perspective of the City Hall
