Comment
As with many coins struck in Castiglione delle Stivere, this coin borrows designs from other nearby states, in this case the 3 kreuzer coin of Tyrol (see link). The spread eagle with head left also features on the Tyrol arms.
CNI cites one example with a weight of 2.1 gr.. The Sincona sale specimen (photos) was 1.7 gr.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted during the reign of Francesco, who was the Duke of Mantua and Montferrat, and that it features an image of him on one side, while the other side bears the coat of arms of Castiglione delle Stiviere.
