Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 3 Pence coin from the South African Republic (1892-1897) is that it features a unique design that reflects the country's history and culture. The obverse side of the coin depicts a portrait of President Paul Kruger, who was a prominent leader during the late 19th century and played a significant role in the country's struggle for independence. The reverse side features a sprig of acacia, which is a symbol of the African bush and represents the country's connection to its natural environment. The coin's design was created by the renowned British engraver, George William de Saulles, who was known for his work on various coins and medals throughout the British Empire.
