In the frame work of two wooden carved columns, situated on either side, and of two entry towers at the bottom – images of a windmill to the left, a two-storied peasant’s house to the right, a church and a wooden covering as a foot–way in the centre, in the background – a tract of forest. The inscription at the top along the rim on the matted surface: «МАЛЫЕ КОРЕЛЫ» (MALYE KORELY).

Date of issue: 03 APR 2006The Arkhangelsk State Museum of Wooden Architecture and Folk Art «Malyye Korely» is situated in the open air 25 kilometers away from the city of Arkhangelsk up-stream of the Severnaya (Northern) Dvina River. It is entered into the List of the UNESCO World Heritage.

The 2006 Russia 25 Roubles (Malye Korely) silver coin features a unique design that showcases the cultural heritage of the Russian Federation. The coin's obverse side features a reproduction of the famous Malye Korely wooden sculptures, which are considered some of the most important examples of ancient Russian art.
