Stamp and coin set - Hamilton Tiger-Cats (2012)

Created for the 100th edition of the Grey Cup®, the commemorative stamp recalls a defining moment in the history of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats*. In the 60th Grey Cup final, 19-year-old Hamilton kicker Ian Sunter won the game with a 34-yard field goal in front of a boisterous crowd; the home Tiger-Cats went on to defeat Saskatchewan 13-10. Two other outstanding players from that game were later inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame: Angelo Mosca, who played his last game that night, and Garney Henley, winner of the 1972 Canadian Football League Most Valuable Player Award.

The 25-cent commemorative coin celebrates the Tiger-Cats' fifteen victories in 29 Grey Cup appearances, a legacy that continues to inspire the team to this day.
