Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the 1960-1964 Guatemalan 25 Centavos coin is that it was made of a unique silver-copper alloy, with 72% silver and 28% copper. This composition was used to reduce the cost of producing the coin, as silver was becoming increasingly expensive at the time. This coin was also one of the last silver coins to be issued by Guatemala before the country switched to a decimal system and introduced a new currency, the Quetzal.
