The Cuban railroad was the first in Hispano-America, only 7 years after English service, and before the first service at Spain (at the moment, Cuba still was a Spanish Colony).To 2010 Cuban Railroad system had nearly 8,200Km, connecting all the main sea ports and main cities, from which 5,000 are for public use, about 8 million passengers/year, 8.5 million Tons. of goods, including 4 million of sugar cane, sugar and their subproducts.
