In center there is depicted the Savior Cathedral's western facade. Around the coin circumference there are inscriptions: ЧЕРНІГІВ (Chernihiv)- on the left, СПАСЬКИЙ СОБОР (the Savior Cathedral's) - above and ХI ст (11th c.) - to the right. The inscriptions are separated from one another with solar signs. Underneath, there is a ribbon with the inscription: ДУХОВНІ СКАРБИ УКРАЇНИ (Spiritual Treasures of Ukraine).
