Comment

Under the name 'Numismatic Jewels', in 2008 a new series of collector coins begins in which unique pieces of Hispanic numismatics will be reproduced, and which will continue over the next few years. This year, the issue is dedicated to Phoenician and Iberian coinages: Hemidrachm from Ebusus, Gadir Light Drachm and As from Clounioq.
The city of Clunia was founded on a mount a short distance from a Celtiberian settlement called Cluniaco, or Kolounioukou, belonging to the Arevaci, a Pre-Roman tribe that belonged to the family of Celtiberians.

Interesting fact

The 20 Euro gold coin from Spain, minted in 2016, has a unique feature - it contains a small amount of Ruthenium, a rare and valuable metal that gives the coin a distinctive dark gray color. This is the first time that Ruthenium has been used in a coin, making it a truly unique and collectible item.
