Date of issue: 21 APR 1995The Nuremberg War Crime Trial (November 20, 1945-October 1, 1946) laid bare the essence of German Fascism. Top military commanders of Fascist Germany were tried. Twelve war criminals were sentenced to death and seven received long terms of imprisonment or were sentenced for life. For the first time in the history the Nuremberg War Crime Trial declared aggression the gravest crime against humanity.
