D-Day was the largest seaborne invasion in history which took place on 6th June 1944 and began the liberation of German-occupied France during WWII.Released as part of the 2019 annual silver proof sets (Issue limit: 1,000; sales 406), as well as individually (4,050 sales), in a coin and newspaper set (issue limit: 200; sales 191), and to third parties in tubes (1,850 sales), the design was also struck in copper-nickel, silver piedfort and gold proof. Issue limit: 3,500.
