The first of three coins issued to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the death of William Shakespeare, by honouring his work. This coin represents the comedies, the other coins in the series represent the histories and the tragedies. The coin was released for circulation as well as being available as part of the 2016 Annual Brilliant Uncirculated (22,786 sales) and Proof sets and in 3-coin BU sets (22,060 sales) as well as BU tubes (3,500 sales).
