The commemorative coin is dedicated to 125th anniversary of birth of Viacheslav Prokopovych (1881-1942), a Ukrainian public figure, politician and statesman, pedagogue, historian, publicist. Viacheslav Prokopovych was one of the founders of the Ukrainian Central Rada. In January - April 1918 he was a minister of national education of the Ukrainian Peoples Republic (UPR), in 1920 he was appointed as the Chairman of the UPR Council of Ministers. As emigrant abroad, Prokopovych (one of the Symon Petliura's comrades-in-arms) held positions of great trust in the UPR Government in exile.Interesting fact
