The commemorative coin is dedicated to the 140th anniversary of birth of Mykola P.Vasylenko (1866 – 1935), a jurist, historian, statesman and public figure. Mykola Vasylenko was the founder of the Ukrainian legal history, he had done a lot for revival and development of the national education, science and culture, he advocated actively Independence of Ukraine, he was an academician (1920) and one of the founders of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences.Interesting fact
