The coin is dedicated to Ivan Ohienko (1882 – 1972), an outstanding Ukrainian scientist, public and ecclesiastical figure. Ivan Ohienko - a philologist, literary critic, founder and rector of the Kamianetz-Podilskyi state university was a minister of education and a minister of religions of the Ukrainian National Republic. Ivan Ohiienko made a significant contribution to development of Ukrainian culture and linguistics.
