Comment
A very interesting coin combining the obverse of the Napoleon essay by Jovay created and struck in year 10 (VG.977) and the reverse of the Gengembre essay illustrating Lavoisier struck in years 8 and 9 (VG.836), but the reverse of this coin is from year 9.It's logical to assume that this essay is dated Year X, as the dates on the reverse are not consistent with the minting of the obverse. The same logic applies to the fact that this coin exists: it's a minting error. The axes of the corners at 9 o'clock prove this hypothesis.
Most probably a unique coin, the opposite would invalidate the above hypothesis and mean that this test was intended by the mint administration.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the Pattern 2 Francs (pattern hybrid with modul of) ND (1801) from France made of Bronze weighing 8.42g is that it is a rare and unique coin that was minted during the Napoleonic era. It features a distinctive design that combines elements of both the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic currencies, making it a fascinating piece of numismatic history.
