Interesting fact
The coin features a portrait of Napoleon Bonaparte, who was the first Emperor of France, on the obverse (front side). The reverse (back side) of the coin depicts a wreath of laurel leaves surrounding the denomination and year of issue. The coin was minted in 1803, during Napoleon's reign, and was used as a standard circulation coin in France at that time.
