Comment

This coin belongs to the 2007 Series dedicated to the Popes of the 20th Century.
Pius X: His pontificate extends from 1903 to 1914. During these years he reformed the Roman Curia and codified Canon Law. Promoter of the Catechism, Pius X, to whom many miracles were attributed already in life, is known as 'the Holy Pope', since in 1954 he was canonized, thus becoming the first Pope to be sanctified since Pius V. During his pontificate, the separation of Church and State was consummated in France.
