Comment
In 1890, the German firm L. Chr. Lauer made a series of patterns commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Mexican Independence. 21 coins were issued with the same obverse but with different reverse. The reverse had the different names of the mexican states.Interesting fact
The Pattern 2 Centavos coin from Mexico, made of Bronze in 1890, features an error in the design, where the eagle on the reverse side is depicted with its wings spread outwards, instead of inwards as is usual in Mexican coinage. This error makes the coin particularly rare and valuable among collectors.
