Central Bank of Uruguay was given authorization to mint up to 50,000 pieces for this event (FIFA World Cup 2006), for which finally were minted 3 different coins: KM# 122 (2003), KM # 123 (2004) and KM# 124 (2005), being produced 900 of each.
Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it was minted to commemorate the 2004 FIFA World Cup, which was held in Germany. The coin features an image of a soccer player in action on one side, and the Uruguayan coat of arms on the other.
