Edward III introduced one of the Tower’s longest lasting traditions, the Ceremony of the Keys, which is carried out every night to this day. The Chief Yeoman Warder performs the ritual of locking the Tower for the night, carrying a lantern and The Queen’s Keys.The fourth and final coin in the 2019 Tower of London series, produced in association with Historic Royal Palaces. The design features the Tower of London mint mark on the reverse and was also struck in copper-nickel, silver proof, silver piedfort and gold proof. Issue limit: 45.
