These coins can only be found in the Royal Mint annual Brilliant Uncirculated and Proof sets.No 10p coins were issued for circulation from 1982 until 1992 when the 10p coin was reduced in size, this was due to the fact that pre-decimal florins were still circulating as part of the decimalisation process having a value of 10p. Florins were finally demonetised in 1993 alongside this larger 10p issue type.

Interesting fact
One interesting fact about this coin is that it features a unique reverse design, depicting a detailed image of a crowned shield with the inscription "10 PENCE" and the year of issue. This design was only used on the large type, set issue coins minted between 1985 and 1992.
