Comment

This collection is the first issue that starts a collection of coins called "Treasures of Spanish Museums." In the coins that make up this series, emblematic pieces of the Museums of Spain are reproduced.

Tiziano Vecelli or Vecellio (c. 1488/90 – 27 August 1576), Latinized as Titianus, hence known in English as Titian, was an Italian Renaissance painter, the most important artist of Renaissance Venetian painting. He was born in Pieve di Cadore, near Belluno. During his lifetime he was often called da Cadore, 'from Cadore', taken from his native region.

Interesting fact

The Titian 10 Euro coin from Spain, made of Silver (.925) and weighing 27g, features an image of the famous Spanish artist Titian's painting "The Burial of the Count of Orgaz" on its reverse side.
