The Singapore $10 1975 silver coin was issued to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the country's independence. First released on the 3 February 1975, these coins were retailed individually with an issue price of S$10.30. They were not included in the 1975 uncirculated coin set. The designs of the obverse and reverse were carried over to the next two coins issued in 1976 and 1977, with variations in the legends on the obverse.

Proof version of this coin was first released on the 5 July 1975. These coins were retailed individually with an issue price of S$30.00. The coins were encapsulated, presented in a clamshell plush wooden case and a Certificate of Authenticity. They were not included in the 1975 silver proof coin set. Please see the following images for the case and certificate.

Unlike later proof coins of the same design, these proof coins did not have the Singapore Mint SM-mintmark on the obverse. Please see the following images for the obverse and reverse of the proof coin.
