Comment
For some 300 years, the maple leaf symbol has been specifically associated with Canada and Canadians. Canada is home to ten species of maple, including the majestic sugar maple, prized for its sap as well as its hard, strong wood. Canada's entire tourism industry thrives on the sugar maple's flamboyant autumn transformation. Visitors come from all over the world to admire the famous metamorphosis of the forests dominated by this species. Then, in early spring, the sugar maple still amazes with its abundant production of sweet sap.Packaging
The coin is encapsulated and presented in a padded burgundy double-shell case featuring the Royal Canadian Mint logo. The case comes with a black protective sleeve.
