Interesting fact

The 10 Cents coin from East Africa featuring George VI was part of a series of coins issued during the transition from the British East Africa shilling to the East African shilling. This coin was minted in 1949 and 1950, and it was the first coin to feature the image of King George VI. It was also the last coin to be issued under the British East Africa currency before the introduction of the East African shilling in 1952.
