Comment
This coin was minted in the small municipality of Atlixtax in the state of Guerrero by order of Emiliano Zapata during the Mexican Revolution. Its production was undertaken in an improvised mint located in the municipality's sugar mill. It was very poor in quality despite the efforts of the workers, due to the limited productive means available.
Interesting fact
The 10 Centavos coin from the State of Guerrero, Mexico, issued in 1915, features a unique design element - a small dot on the obverse side, below the number 10. This dot is known as the "Atlixtac" and was added to the coin's design to indicate that it was minted in the city of Atlixtac, which is located in the state of Guerrero. This feature makes the coin stand out from other coins of the same denomination and year, and it has become a sought-after collector's item among numismatists.
