Interesting fact
The 1 Thaler coin from the Principality of Mecklenburg, minted in 1549 during the reign of John Albert I, was made of silver and features a unique design. On one side, it depicts the coat of arms of Mecklenburg, while the other side bears the image of the king himself. This coin was used as a standard circulation coin in the German States during that time period.
