Interesting fact
The 1 Speciedaler coin was minted during the reign of King Frederik III of Denmark in 1667. It was made of silver with a purity of .875, which means it contains 87.5% silver and 12.5% other metals. The coin weighs 28.90 grams and has a diameter of 38 millimeters. Interestingly, the coin features an error in the inscription on the obverse side. The Latin inscription "FREDERICUS III DEI GRATIA" (Frederick III, by the grace of God) was mistakenly engraved as "FREDERICUS III DEI GRA" (Frederick III, by God's grace). This error was not corrected, and the coin was still circulated with the mistake. This error makes the coin particularly unique and interesting for collectors.
