Comment

The St. George and the Dragon design on the Sovereign has been used for 200 years. The 2017 Bullion Sovereign celebrates this with the addition of a '200' privy mark on the bottom left-hand side of the reverse. A garter design was issued for the proof sovereign for 2017.
