Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 1 Sovereign - Elizabeth II (4th portrait; no streamer) 2009-2015 coin from the United Kingdom is that it features a unique design element known as a "privy mark." A privy mark is a small symbol or design element that is added to a coin's design to signify a particular event, anniversary, or milestone. In the case of this coin, the privy mark is a small image of a shield with the initials "EIIR" (for Elizabeth II Regina) inside, which was added to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II's reign. This privy mark can be found on the coin's obverse (front) side, just below the Queen's portrait.
