A commemorative edition of the last round £1 coin before it's 12-sided replacement was released in 2017. The designer, Gregory Cameron, is a Bishop of the Anglican Church of Wales. A limited-edition presentation of the coin alone issued with a 3,000 limit.Issued as part of the Annual Silver Piedfort Sets for 2016 (456 sales) as well as individually (2,993 sales), the design was also issued in copper-nickel, silver proof and gold proof.
