Christopher Columbus discovered America on October 12th., 1492, and also discovered Cuba on same trip.Niña was one of the 3 vessels used on the first trip, and the smallest one. Name means "girl". Columbus returned to Spain commanding this vessel, after the shipwreck or the "Santa María" on 12/24/1492.
