The huaca de la Luna is a temple in Peru, near the town of Trujillo, in the shape of a stepped pyramid. Construction of the edifice took place from the 1st to around the 9th century AD.The huaca de la Luna served as a center of worship for the entire Moche kingdom. The interior and exterior walls are adorned with superb, colorful frescoes featuring the god Ai-Apaec and other mythological creatures.
Ai apaec was the chief deity of the Mochica culture. He was one of their most feared and adored punisher gods.
