Interesting fact
The 1 Lira 1982 coin from Turkey was designed by sculptor and engraver, Turgut Yazıcı. The obverse side of the coin features the portrait of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder and first President of Turkey, while the reverse side features the Turkish coat of arms and the inscription "Türkiye Cumhuriyeti" (Republic of Turkey) in a circular pattern. The coin was minted in 1982 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey.
