Interesting fact
The 1 Lira 1981 coin from Turkey was designed by sculptor and engraver, Hulusi Kentmen. The obverse side of the coin features the portrait of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the first President of Turkey, while the reverse side features the Turkish Republic's coat of arms. The coin's design has remained unchanged since its introduction in 1966, except for a brief period between 1971 and 1974 when a different design was used.
