Comment

The Royal Mint U.K. won the contract for the 1967 coins, but the project was sub-contracted in total to M.B.L. (The Mint, Birmingham, Limited, the official name for Heaton's Mint) for the 10 sengi coins and I.MI. (Imperial Metal Industries Limited, where King's Norton is part of) for the 1 Likuta and 5 Makuta coins.

Of the total mintage, 16,632,000 were minted in 1966, 134,520,000 were minted in 1967, 36,288,000 were minted in 1968, and 12,888,000 were minted in 1969.
