Comment

Type 3 of 1 Kuna trial strike series is a coin with the undulating background but without the year of minting (1941). Instead, there is a small fish in the place of a year of minting.

Interesting fact

One interesting fact about the Pattern 1 Kuna (Pattern; Type 3, silver) ND (1941) from Independent State of Croatia (Yugoslavia) made of Silver weighing 4.4 g is that it was designed by the Croatian artist, Ivan Meštrović. Meštrović was a renowned sculptor and designer who was commissioned by the Ustaše regime to create the design for the coin. The coin features a stylized image of a kuna, a small mammal native to Croatia, on one side, and the Croatian coat of arms on the other. The coin was never put into circulation, and only a small number of pattern coins were minted, making it a rare and valuable collector's item.
