Never officially issued.It is considered that only 4 original coins are still preserved, but they are not on the market and their weight is around 8.65 g. Some coins can be found on the market that weigh around 9.60 g (diameter can also vary). These are not the original ones, but galvanoplastic copies. However, these coins have also high market value. Also, copy is known that weigh around 6.88 g.
This coin was minted in 1849 by Croatian government ("Bansko vijeće") and Governor Josip Jelačić when Croatia was part of Austria-Hungary. Central government in Vienna stopped minting of these coins and they were all melted down. Only a few pieces survived and they are today mostly in museums and in the best coin collections. Original coins do not appear on the numismatic market and it is not possible to get them. Therefore, copies of these coins are extremely rare and expensive.
