Comment
After 1945, it was decided to return to the motifs of the First Republic coins, but with reduced parameters. For the 1 Koruna coin, there was a long discussion about its diameter and whether it would have smooth or grooved edge. This is evidenced by these sample pattern strikes. An exceptional specimen with mint luster in the fields. This example is the trial strike with smooth edge.
Interesting fact
The 1 Koruna (Trial Strike) 1922 from Czechoslovakia made of Copper-nickel weighing 4g is a rare and unique coin, with only a few known examples in existence. It was minted in 1922 as a trial strike, meaning it was not intended for circulation but rather as a test run for the minting process. The coin features the coat of arms of Czechoslovakia on one side and the denomination and year on the other. Due to its rarity, this coin is highly sought after by collectors and can fetch a high price at auction.
