Comment

After 1945, it was decided to return to the motifs of the First Republic coins, but with reduced parameters. For the 1 Koruna coin, there was a long discussion about its diameter and whether it would have smooth or grooved edge. This is evidenced by these sample pattern strikes. An exceptional specimen with mint luster in the fields. This example is the trial strike with grooved edge.

Interesting fact

The 1 Koruna (Trial Strike) 1922 from Czechoslovakia made of Copper-nickel weighing 3.95g is a rare and unique coin, with only 100 pieces minted. It was created as a trial strike and never entered circulation, making it a highly sought-after collector's item among numismatists.
