Interesting fact
One interesting fact about the 1 Kasu coin from the Kingdom of Madurai is that it features a unique blend of Hindu and Islamic influences in its design. The coin's obverse side features a depiction of the Hindu goddess Lakshmi, while the reverse side bears a Islamic inscription in Persian script, indicating the coin's minting during the reign of Sultan Sethupati. This blending of religious motifs reflects the cultural diversity and syncretism that characterized the Indian subcontinent during the medieval period.
