Interesting fact

The Pattern 1 Jiao - Hongxian coin was designed by the renowned Chinese artist and designer, Xu Xiaohu. Xu Xiaohu was a prominent figure in the Chinese art world and was known for his work in various fields, including painting, calligraphy, and numismatics. He was commissioned by the Chinese government to design the Pattern 1 Jiao - Hongxian coin, which was minted in 1916 to commemorate the founding of the Republic of China. The coin features a portrait of Sun Yat-sen, the first president of the Republic of China, on the obverse, and a dragon on the reverse. The coin was minted in copper and has a diameter of 30 mm.
