Interesting fact
The coin features an image of Frederick Ulrich, the ruler of the principality, on one side, and a crowned shield with the coat of arms of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel on the other. The coin was minted in 1618-1619, during Frederick Ulrich's reign, and was used as a standard circulation coin in the German States. Despite its small size, the coin was made of silver, which gives us an idea of the value placed on precious metals during that time period.
