This Sterling Silver crown-sized dollar coin was issued in 1989 as part of a four coin series to commemorate the 14th Commonwealth Games held in Auckland in 1990.

It was issued in a Sterling Silver four coin set in capsules in a large plush case. (8,600 Sets) (See links for other coins in the series)


A Copper-nickel version of the coin was also issued (see link).
